About Beyond Birth

Beyond Birth is a birth tissue donation program of StimLabs that gives expectant mothers undergoing cesarean deliveries the option to donate their birth tissues for transplant to patients facing a variety of medical conditions.

This donated tissue, ordinarily discarded as medical waste, can instead be processed into products used for transplant, research, or education.

Birth tissue donations allow StimLabs to create regenerative solutions and change lives for patients in need.

About StimLabs

Who we are.

StimLabs is a regenerative medicine company guided by our desire to innovate and create personalized solutions. Donated tissue is received by StimLabs where the tissue is dissected, processed, preserved, and sterilized for transplant, research, or education. To date, thousands of patients have benefited from the use of StimLabs’ products. StimLabs is committed to providing patients safe and high quality products, and our birth tissue donor screening process is a direct reflection of that commitment.

Tissues are donated by consenting mothers undergoing full term cesarean section deliveries and are individually evaluated by the StimLabs Quality Assurance Unit for suitability. All donors undergo a thorough medical history and chart review completed by the StimLabs Medical Director to determine donor eligibility. StimLabs’ solutions include products classified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a Human Cell, Tissue, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) that are regulated solely under Section 361 of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act. FDA regulations require adherence to all sections of 21 CFR Part 1271 including Establishment Registration with FDA, Donor Eligibility Determination, and Good Tissue Practice (cGTP) Quality System Regulations.

We began our pursuit of this vision by launching a suite of next generation products. Our pioneer products are derived from placental tissue. The use of placental tissue in wound care has been explored for over 100 years due to the inherent characteristics of the tissue, which is why we chose to harness and optimize these structural components in many of our initial products.1 This is just the beginning. As we continue to move forward in our trajectory of precision and innovation, we will focus intently on patient-specific needs with further targeted solutions.
